Home Living Outlet Ltd (company no. 14145753) · Gaghills Road, Waterfoot, Rossendale, BB4 9BB · Last updated 1 November 2026

This covers the Home Living Outlet planner: the internal system our staff use to run deliveries and orders and, through its Social Planner, to post to our own Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts (and those of our sister companies Atelier and Hilltop). It is not a public app: only our staff can sign in.

What the Social Planner uses

When one of our managers connects a company account, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) or TikTok gives the planner an access token, plus the account's name, handle, profile picture and ID. We use these only to publish our own posts, to check that the connection still works and, for Instagram, to see how many posts we have left in the day.

The tokens are encrypted before they are stored, they are only read on our server, and they are never shown in the browser or written to logs.

The images and videos we post are stored in our own file storage so that Meta and TikTok can fetch them when we publish.

Comments and messages

When we add automatic replies (for example, someone comments "SIZE" on one of our posts and we send them the size guide), the planner will receive the comment or message, the person's username and ID, and what we sent back. We keep this so our staff can see what was sent and take over the conversation. We only ever message people who have commented on our posts or messaged us first, and only within the time Meta allows.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share this information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't collect anything from people who haven't interacted with our own accounts.

How long we keep it

Account connections are kept until we disconnect them. Comment and message records are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.
